Description

Adapt to Any Hose. Extend Your Reach.

The 1/2" Easy Loc Male Hose End is a simple yet essential adapter for any drip irrigation system. It features a standard 3/4" Male Hose Thread (MHT) on one end and a secure 1/2" Easy Loc connection on the other, allowing you to attach accessories like flush valves, garden hoses, or even another timer directly to the end of your 1/2" Poly Tubing.

This fitting is most commonly used to install a flush valve at the end of a mainline or to create a connection point for a garden hose extension. The Easy Loc technology ensures a leak-proof grip on the tubing that can be easily removed or reconfigured as your garden needs change.

Why Choose Easy Loc Technology?
  • Versatile Connections: Converts your tubing end into a standard hose thread, opening up possibilities for attaching flush valves, hose caps, or extending to a second zone.
  • Secure Locking Technology: The locking nut screws over the tubing, compressing it against the internal barb. This holds tight even under pressure fluctuations.
  • Fully Reusable: If you need to shorten your line or move the fitting, simply unscrew the collar and remove the tubing. The fitting is ready to be used again.
  • Tool-Free Installation: No clamps, ratchets, or hot water required. The large, textured nut is designed for easy hand-tightening.
  • UV & Chemical Resistant: Molded from high-grade polypropylene with UV stabilizers, these fittings resist cracking from sun exposure and are chemically inert to standard fertilizers.

How to Install: A Step-by-Step Guide

Follow these steps to secure the fitting to your tubing.

Step 1: Prepare Tubing
Cut your 1/2" polyethylene tubing squarely. Ensure the cut is clean and free of burrs.

Step 2: Unlock the Fitting
Rotate the Easy Loc locking collar backwards (towards the threaded end) to expose the internal barb. Do not remove the nut completely.

Step 3: Connect Tubing
Push your 1/2" poly tubing firmly over the barb until it hits the stop. You may need to use a wiggling motion to get the tubing over the barb lip.

Step 4: Lock it Down
Twist the locking collar forward (over the tubing) to clamp the connection in place. Hand-tighten firmly.

Step 5: Attach Accessory
Screw your flush valve, hose cap, or garden hose onto the 3/4" Male Hose Threads.

✔ Compatibility Check

Check your connection types carefully:

  • Tubing Side: Fits standard 1/2" Poly Tubing (.700" OD).
  • Thread Side: Standard 3/4" Male Hose Thread (Fits standard hoses/caps).
  • It will NOT fit 3/4" Poly Tubing (.940" OD).
  • It will NOT fit Drip Tape.

Complete Your System

Ensure your system is reliable and functional by pairing this fitting with the right components:

  • Flush Valve (VFH): Threads directly onto this fitting to allow for easy system flushing.
  • 1/2" Poly Tubing: The standard distribution tubing that connects to the Easy Loc end.
  • Hold Downs: Secure your tubing to the ground to prevent movement.
  • Filter & Regulator: Crucial for protecting your system from clogging and high pressure.
